How i edited PHP files on remote FTP server online PDF Print E-mail

Recently i was out home and office. And i had to do quick bug fix on one of my sites.

I get chance to use notebook of my friend . But there was no any PHP editor or even goof FTP client tool.  I was not able to install any software on that notebook.

I found nice solution to edit my code online with SMEStorage service.

I had registered new account with package "Private Cloud Beta" that is free and allows using FTP provider.

I have inited the account provider with my FTP settings. That was FTP account with Joomla site. Syncing of data got near 15 minutes.

After account has been synced i opened Cloud FileManager and my FTP files/folder were in the tree.

I found the file that i want to edit and opened it with File editor.

There is fine file editor that supports PHP syntax. I just edited my file and saved it.

So now i can edit PHP (and any another plain text code) on my site without any special tools, just with browser.

Quoting Stas:
I use free PHP IDE Codelobster PHP Edition (http://www.codelobster.com) for it.

Yes. Probably PHP IDE (Codelobster or any other) is better when you have your PC near you. But if you must to edit some code urgently and you have no your PC near you then it is needed to have some alternate solution.
This is why i used SMEStorage in this case.
